Captain Benjamin Tilton of Keyport discovered several men clinging to an upturned boat in the bay off that place on Monday morning. The men were from Perth Amboy They had gone sailing in the bay on Sunday and their boat had capsized. The men clung to the boat all night and one of them, Conrad Vogtman, died from fright and exposure. The others were rescued.
