Joseph Ott Dead
Joseph Ott, a comedian who lived at Red Bank for a time and who was well known here, died at new York on Monday of a complication of diseases,
aged 38 years. He was taken sick about two weeks ago with congestion of the lungs. Pneumonia, Bright's disease and tumor of the brain set in
and caused his death. At the time he was taken sick Mr. Ott was playing in "Nell Go IN" in New York. He leaves a widow, who was Miss Frances
Wood, a niece of William H. Wood of Maple avenue, Red Bank. He leaves also a sister who is well-known in Red Bank. She is Miss Theresa Vaughn,
the widow of William Mestayer.
Mr. Ott was born at Chelsea, Massachusetts. He has been an actor ever since he was twenty years old.
