Ely Applegate, a life-long resident of Millstone township, died at his home near Clarksburg on Thursday, November 15th, aged 75 years. He was a son of Mary and Samuel Applegate. He had lived for 47 years in the house where he died. A wife and four grown up children survive him. One daughter, Mrs. Samuel B. Chaffey, lives at Asbury Park. Mr. Applegate was one of six brothers who served in the Civil war and he was a member of the Grand Army post of Freehold.
