New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Layton
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Layton, who lived at the corner of Borden and Washington streets, died on Sunday, aged 78 years. Death was caused by consumption, with which she had been confined to her bed about a month. Mrs. Layton leaves one step-daughter, Elvira C., wife of Harry Robinson of Borden street. Her funeral was held at two o’clock at the Baptist church yesterday and the sermon was preached by Rev. William B. Matteson. The body was buried in Fair View cemetery. The pall bearers were Joseph Mount, James Bray, Sr., John E. Davis and John Sutton.
Per the Death Notice Mrs. Layton was aged 78 years and 4 months.
