Richard Crawford, Jr., son of Sarah C. and the late George W. Crawford, died near Morrisville, in Middletown township, on Sunday, aged 36 years. Death was caused by consumption, with which he had been sick a long time. He had gone to many health resorts in the country in hope of being cured. He was unmarried and lived with his mother on the farm on which he was born. The funeral was held this afternoon at two o'clock at the house and the body was buried in Fair View cemetery.

For several generations back the Crawfords have been farmers in Middletown township, Richard Crawford being one of the largest peach growers in Monmouth county. His father, George Crawford was killed some years ago by a corn crib falling on him. Besides a mother he leaves two brothers, John B. and James Crawford, both farmers in Middletown township.
