New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Nicholas P. Todd
Nicholas P. Todd of Atlantic Highlands died on Monday of last week of paralysis and other complications, aged 76 years. He had been gradually failing in health for several years and had been confined to the house since last September.
Mr. Todd was born in Somerset county. He lived in Somerset and Burlington counties until seven years ago, when he moved to Atlantic Highlands. He was a land surveyor by profession and was also interested in cranberry lands. He had been a member of the Presbyterian church nearly all his life and was an elder in the Presbyterian church at Atlantic Highlands. A wife and six children survive him. The children are Herbert O. Todd, Mrs. J. G. Brookes and Miss Margaret Todd of Atlantic Highlands; Miss E. C. Todd, a teacher in the Long Branch public schools; J. H. Todd of Lakewood and D. E. Todd of New York. He leaves also a brother, David Todd of Somerset county.
The funeral was held on Thursday at half-past one o’clock at the house and was conducted by Rev. G. W. S. Wenrick. The body was buried in Bay View cemetery.
