New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Mrs. Ann (Woolley) Kingsland

Mrs. Ann (Woolley) Kingsland of Long Branch City died of paralysis on Tuesday of last week, aged 84 years. She was first stricken with paralysis about three years ago and had been in failing health since that time. She suffered the second stroke the Tuesday before her death and her entire left side became affected. On Saturday she became unconscious and she remained in that condition until she died.
Mrs. Kingsland was the daughter of Alice and Benjamin Woolley and was born at Deal. On January 14th, 1840, she married Josiah Kingsland and he died two years later. Mrs. Kingsland had lived for 39 years in the house where she died. She had been a member of the First Reformed church of Long Branch for 21 years. Mrs. Kingsland leaves two daughters. They are Miss Zilpha A. Kingsland, who lived at home, and Josephine, wife of Samuel W. Hendrickson of Deal. Two sisters also survive her. They are Mrs. William S. Eaton and Mrs. Zilpha Chadwick of Elberon.
