New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Spencer E. Gulick
Spencer E. Gulick of Englishtown died of apoplexy last Wednesday, aged 61 years. He had been sick only two days. He was the son of Dr. Selah Gulick of Cranbury. Mr. Gulick was a farmer by occupation. He farmed at Marlboro two years and for 28 years he was on his farm at Englishtown. He served nine months in the civil war, being a member of the 28th regiment of New Jersey volunteers. He was an elder of Tennent church for many years, and he also served a term as school trustee.
Mr. Gulick married Miss Mary Helen Duncan, daughter of the late John P. Duncan of Englishtown. She survives him. He leaves also three brothers and three sisters. They are Mrs. Mary Horton, Mrs. Mount Duncan, Mrs. Margaret Dey, Redford Gulick of Cranbury and Edward and Frank Gulick of New York.
