Emma (Brown), wife of L. Harry VanSant of Asbury Park, died of peritonitis last Wednesday, aged 29 years. Mrs. VanSant had been in failing health for several months, but she did not take to her bed until a week before her death. She was a daughter of Mrs. Eleanor C. Brown of Holmdel. Mrs. VanSantís father died about eight years ago.
Mrs. VanSant went to Asbury Park several years ago and for four years she taught in the high school there. She was a graduate of the state normal school. She married Mr. VanSant about three years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Asbury Park and she was also a member of the Ariel club, an organization at that place. Besides her husband and mother, Mrs. VanSant leaves two sisters and two brothers. The funeral was held on Friday, and on Saturday the body was buried in Fair view cemetery.
