Tilton Sickles, an aged resident of Colt’s Neck, died at the home of Charles Strickland at Montrose
last Thursday. Mr. Sickles was born at Montrose, but he had spent most of his life at Colt’s Neck.
Death was due to old age. He was a veteran of the civil war and four of his veteran comrades were
pall bearers. They were William White, Joseph Golden, Henry Brower and John VanRrunt (sp? Van Brunt). At the funeral
the coffin was draped with American flags. The sermon was preached by Rev. S. R. Cunningham.
