New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Mrs. Hannah Scott

Mrs. Hannah Scott, widow of Benjamin Scott, died on Saturday at the home of her son, Joseph Scott of
Shrewsbury, aged 68 years. Death was caused by a complication of diseases, chief of which was heart
disease. Mrs. Scott had been sick about seven years. She was born at Farmingdale. She leaves two
children. They are Mrs. Emma Crawford, wife of George Crawford of Red Bank, and Joseph Scott, with
whom she lived. Mrs. Scott leaves also two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Hurley of Shrewsbury and Mrs.
Katharine Cottrell of Fairfield. The funeral was held at her late home at one o’clock this
afternoon. The sermon was preached by Rev. E. C. Hancock and the body was buried at Little
Silver. The pall bearers were William L. Borden, Randolph Borden, James Martin, John R. Sickles,
Peter B. Campbell and Henry Lucas.
Per the death notice Mrs. Scott was 68 years, 11 months of age.
