Mrs. Ann Callahan, wife of James Callahan of Holmdel, died of apoplexy on Tuesday night of last week,
aged 69 years. She had been sick about a week with a slight cold, but not until a short time before
her death was her condition such as to cause any alarm. Mrs. Callahan was born in Ireland. For the
past thirty years she had lived at Holmdel, where her husband is employed by Jonathan Longstreet. Two
daughters survive her. They are Mrs. James Feeney and Mrs. Owen Melee of Long Branch. The funeral was
held on Friday at St. Joseph’s church at Keyport and the body was buried in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
