Obituaries - NJ - 1900 - Mrs. Mary E. Bloodgood

Mrs. Mary E. Bloodgood, widow of Captain Andrew J. Bloodgood of Keyport, died at Morrisville last Thursday night of consumption and heart trouble.
She was over 71 years old. She had been an invalid for years and was confined to the bed ten weeks previous to her death. The funeral was held at the house
on Monday at noon. Rev. Robert Fisher of Holmdel preached the sermon and Mr. Minor Brown of Holmdel sang a solo, "Asleep in Jesus." The body was buried
at Rose Hill, near Matawan.
Mrs. Bloodgood was born in New York. Her husband, Captain Andrew Bloodgood, died on Christmas eve (sic), seventeen years ago. Mrs. Bloodgood had lived
at Morrisville for the past three years. Four children survive her. They are Frank A. Bloodgood of Lincroft, Misses Emma and Mary Bloodgood of
Morrisville, and Mrs. Granville Little of Freehold. Mrs. Daniel Hendrickson of Middletown, who died about a year ago, was also a daughter of Mrs.
Bloodgood.
