Jonathan F. Hampton of Jerseyville died on Tuesday of last week of apoplexy, aged 73 years. He was sick only four days. Mr. Hampton was born at Farmingdale and was a blacksmith by trade. His wife died about nine years ago. Five children survive him. He leaves also two brothers, Sidney T. Hampton of Asbury Park and Richard Hampton of Ardena.
