John R. Anderson, a well-known farmer of West Freehold, died on Saturday, August 18th, of pulmonary tuberculosis, aged 48 years. He was born at Manalapan and lived there until about 25 years ago, when he married Sarah C. Clayton of West Freehold. He then moved to the latter place, where he had since lived. He had been a member of the Freehold Baptist church for many years. He was a member of the Freehold township board of education, and was at one time president of the board. A wife and two children, Ira U. and Carl A. Anderson of West Freehold, survive him. He leaves also three sisters. They are Mrs. Ancil G. Dey of Cranbury Station, Mrs. Freeman Kline of New York, and Mrs. Frederick Perrine of Princeton.
