Margaret Carton, wife of James Carton of East Oceanic, died on Friday of paralysis, aged 45 years. She was stricken with paralysis the day before her death. Previous to that time she was in her usual good health. The funeral was held Monday at nine o’clock at the house and at half past nine o’clock at Holy Cross church at Seabright. The body was buried in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Headden’s Corner.
Mrs. Carton was born in Ireland. She came to New York when a young girl and there she married James Carton. About eighteen years ago they moved to East Oceanic, where Mr. Carton has since been engaged in the blacksmith business. Besides a husband she leaves a daughter and a son, Josephine and John Carton, both of whom live at home.
