James Austin of Broad street died on Monday of dropsy, aged 75 years. He had been failing in health about a year, but had been confined to the bed only one week. The funeral will be held to-morrow at two o'clock at the house and will be conducted by Rev. E. C. Hancock. The body will be buried in Fair View cemetery.
Mr. Austin was born at New York. He came to Red Bank eighteen years ago and had lived in the house in which he died. He leaves a wife and one daughter, Miss Effel Austin, who lives at home. One son, James, died twelve years ago.
