New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Sarah Johnson

Mrs. Sarah Johnson, wife of Rev. W. W. Johnson of Hillside, died on Friday night of consumption. She was 42 years old and had been sick about a year. She bore up until last February, when she took to her bed, and after that time she sank steadily. Besides her husband, nine children survive her. Two of the children are grown up, and the other seven range in age from fifteen years down to two years. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at half-past one o’clock at Quinn chapel at Navesink. The service was conducted by Rev. J. H. Morgan of Fair Haven, who was assisted by several out-of-town ministers. The body was taken to Yorktown for burial.
