New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - William L. Covert

William L. Covert died at Fair Haven last Thursday of pneumonia. He was 66 years old and was taken sick about eleven days before his death. Previous to his last sickness he had been in great health. He was born at New York, but when a boy he came to Fair Haven. His wife was Elizabeth Dennigal of New York, and she and four children survive him. The children are Frank, Lavinia, Julia and Ethel Covert, all of whom live at home. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the house and the service was conducted by Rev. S. W. Knipe of Oceanic. The pall bearers were William Churchin, Sr., Lewis H. Smith, C. Pitman Worthley, Rufus S. Merritt, George J. Hendrickson and Forman R. Smith. The body was buried at Evergreen cemetery at Little Silver.
