Miss Caroline P. Whitlock of Oakland Street Died Suddenly of Heart Disease Last Night While Sitting in a Chair

Miss Caroline P. Whitlock of Oakland street died very suddenly of heart disease last night, aged about seventy years. She had been around the house all day as usual and during the afternoon wrote several letters. After supper she sat down in a chair and in a few minutes was dead. Miss Helen Hendrickson, who had been living with Miss Whitlock for a year past, was with her when she died.

Miss Whitlock was born in New York. She moved to Eatontown 21 years ago, and for the past four years she had lived at Red Bank. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Presbyterian church. Her only relatives are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Malcolm Graham, whose summer home is at Seabright; and a niece, Mrs Edwin F. Hatfield, whose summer home is at Monmouth Beach. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
