New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Elsie Pintard

Elsie Pintard, only daughter of Ella H. and William Pintard of Broad street, died on Sunday of pneumonia, aged fourteen years. The girl had a hemmorrhage (sic) about five months ago. She was taken out of school at that time and had not been in good health since. She was stricken with pneumonia a little over two weeks ago. A few days previous to her death it was thought that she would recover, but she had a relapse and grew worse until her death.

The funeral was held at the house this afternoon at two o’clock. Rev. Robert MacKellar had charge of the service. John L. Hess sang one of the girl’s favorite hymns. There was a profusion of flowers and several handsome floral pieces. The pall bearers were Osborn Curtis, Horace VanDorn, Stanley Hagerman, Daniel H. Applegate, Jr., Stephen Tallman and Walter B. Parsons. The body was buried at Fair View cemetery.
