New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Thomas Winsor

Thomas Winsor died on Monday at the home of his son, Joseph C. Winsor of Farmingdale, aged 87 years. He was born at Devonshire, England, and came to this county when he was four years old. He married Miss Alletta Shepherd Christopher of Weston, near Bound Brook. She died about a year and a half ago.

The greater part of Mr. Winsorís life was spent in farming. He moved to Asbury Park in 1873. In 1878 he went to California and remained there ten years. On his return he and his wife went to live with their son, Henry C. Winsor of Asbury Park. Mr. Winsor lived there until a short time ago, when he moved to Farmingdale. Mr. Winsor leaves three children. They are Henry C. Winsor, president of the Asbury Park and Ocean Grove bank; Joseph C. Winsor, a farmer of Farmingdale; and George Winsor, who lives at Alhambra, California.
