On Monday of last week Samuel McLain of Long Branch died of Bright’s disease. He had been sick for the past three months. He was the son of Martha and Lyman McLain and was born at West Long Branch. In 1852 he married Miss Hannah Wardell, daughter of Hannah and Joseph Wardell, and she and five children survive him. The children are Mrs. George Lane, Mrs. Henry Kahle, and Frank, Charles and Samuel McLain.
