New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - J. C. Hoagland
|
J. C. Hoagland of New York, a summer resident of Red Bank, died of paralysis on Friday, aged 59 years. Mr. Hoagland was first stricken in October with the disease which caused his death. He was then at his home at Rumson. He returned to his home at New York about two weeks ago and was again stricken on Monday of last week. Mr. Hoagland moved to Seabright about ten years ago. The next season he occupied a house on the Rumson road. He afterward bought a place and built a house on the Ridge road, where he had since lived during the summer. Mr. Hoagland was the head of the Royal baking powder company. He leaves an estate valued at several millions of dollars.
