New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - William LecompteDead from a Bullet Wound
William Lecompte, son of Thomas Lecompte of Long Branch, died at the Long Branch hospital on Saturday, August 19th , from a bullet wound accidentally inflicted by his playmate, William Troutman, about three weeks ago, while they were playing with a revolver. He was thirteen years old. Troutman has been held to await the result of an inquiry by the grand jury.
