James H. Joline of Long Branch was killed by a horse's kick last Saturday a week ago. He went in the house's stall and tapped it on the hip to make it move over. The horse kicked him in the abdomen and death resulted instantly.
Mr. Joline was 73 years old. He was the son of Margaret and Henry Joline and was born at Long Branch. For many years he was associated with Thomas L. Worthley in the livery business. When the firm dissolved he went to Trenton to take charge of the stables of the city railway. Eight years ago he moved back to Long Branch and had since helped his former partner in conducting his business.
Mr. Joline was twice married. His first wife was Louise Brinley, who died nearly fifty years ago. His second wife was Amanda Woolley, daughter of Ursula and Eseck Woolley. She died three years ago. He leaves one son by his second wife. He is Henry Joline, assistant cashier of the Long Branch banking company. He leaves also two sisters. They are Mrs. Tucker C. Edwards and Mrs. James Lane of Branchport. Mr. Joline had been a member of the Methodist church since his boyhood.
