New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - William Burns

William Burns of Oceanic died at the Long Branch hospital on Saturday. He had been sick about nine weeks and had been taken to the hospital the day before his death. A widow and three small children survive him. Mr. Burns was thirty years old and was born in Ireland. About ten years ago he and his wife came to this country, and for the past few years Mr. Burns had been employed as night fireman at Frank Mahonís greenhouses at East Oceanic. The funeral was held on Monday and the service was conducted by Rev. E. J. Egan of Seabright. The body was buried at Mt. Olivet cemetery at Headdenís corner.
