New Jersey Wills - November 30, 1898 - James Cottrell

James Cottrell of Ardena, in Howell township, who died November 11th made his will October 23d, 1898. He left the income from all his estate to his widow, Lucina Cottrell, as long as she should live or until she remarries. If she remarries, then all his property is to be sold and she is to get her dower rights. If she should not marry again, and the income from the estate should not prove sufficient for her needs, then some of the estate is to be sold to make up the deficiency. At his wife's death the property is to be equally divided among his three children, Libbie, Clarence V. and Hannah Cotter. The executor of the will is George W. Patterson, Jr., and the witnesses were Tunis Lane and George A. Patterson.
