New Jersey Wills - November 23, 1898 - Thomas A. Roberts
|
Thomas A. Roberts of Asbury Park was evidently afraid that he would be buried alive, for the first provision of his will provided that his body should lay in a receiving vault for thirty days after his death with the lid of the coffin loose. He left to his son, his architectural books, and also the house, stable and two lots at Deal Beach, with the proviso that they were not to be sold or encumbered until his son was forty years old. All the rest of his estate was left to his wife, Mary Roberts. His wife and Edmund E. Dayton of Asbury Park were made executors of the will.
