New Jersey Obituaries - May 25, 1898 - Miss Elizabeth A. Hance

Miss Elizabeth A. Hance, daughter of Benjamin B. Hance, died of congestion of the brain at her home at Little Silver on Monday after a few days' sickness. She was 37 years old and was born at Rumson. She had lived in this vicinity all her life. About two weeks ago she took a trip to Chicago and brought home her father, who is suffering with heart trouble. A short time after her return she was taken sick. She grew rapidly worse and on Monday she died. The funeral was held this afternoon at quarter-past two o'clock at the Friends' meeting house at Shrewsbury. The body was buried at Rumson. The pall bearers were John T. Lovett, Gilbert Reckless, Isaac H. Adlem, William T. Corlies, J. Trafford Allen and Arthur A. Patterson.
