New Jersey Obituaries - May 4, 1898 - Joseph West
|
Joseph West, a lifelong resident of Ocean township, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. Henry Irwin of Long Branch, last Thursday. He had been sick with Bright's disease for two months. Mr. West was born at Monmouth Beach October 4th, 1819, and was 78 years old. He followed hook and line fishing all his life until seven years ago, when he became totally blind. His wife was Henrietta Brindley of Long Branch, who died seven years ago. Mr. West leaves two children, Mrs. Irwin and Vincent West of Long Branch.
