New Jersey News - March 23, 1898 - A Dance, but no Cakewalk
|
A Dance, but no Cakewalk
The X-Ray club of Fair Haven gave a dance at Liberty hall at that place last Wednesday night. About fifty couples were present. The grand march was started at nine o'clock and was led by Mr. and Mrs. William Aras. Dancing was continued until nearly morning. A cakewalk was to have been held at midnight, but during the evening someone sat on the cake and crushed it. This left no prize for the cakewalk and this feature was abandoned. The committee were Edward Little, Raymond Doughty, Leon Little, David Burnett and George Vix, Jr.
