New Jersey Wills - March 9, 1898 - Thomas Oakes

Thomas Oakes left his house and lot at Oceanic to his son, John Oakes, in trust for the use of his wife for life, and directed that it be sold after her death and from the proceeds $300 paid to his son John, and the remainder, as well as all the rest of his estate, be divided equally among John Oakes, Mrs. Mary Jeffrey and Thomas Oakes. John Oakes was appointed executor. The will was made on August 13th, 1896, with John S. Applegate and Elizabeth Valentine as witnesses.
