New Jersey Wills - February 16, 1898 - Edward H. Dominick
|
Edward H. Dominick of Matawan drew his own will. It is in rather an unusual form. He left his house and lot at Matawan to Mrs. Alice Compton. The balance from an insurance policy of $100, after paying his funeral expenses, he left to Mrs. Compton and also his furniture. He expressed pleasure that his son John had done so well in the express business, and said that he had always cared for his other son, Jared, and hoped that he would not see as hard times as he, the testator had. The proceeds from the sale of some of the articles in his jewelry store he left to Mrs. Compton, and he said she could do as she pleased with other goods. His door plate he left to his son Jared; a small bureau to a daughter, Lizzie, and the rest of his estate to Mrs. Compton, who was appointed executrix. The will was signed on October 21st, 1891, in the presence of W. H. Griggs and William A. Bogart.
