New Jersey Wills - February 9, 1898 - Mrs. Adaline Briggs

Mrs. Adaline Briggs of Oceanport, who died recently, left $20 a year for ten years to the Methodist church at Oceanport, to be paid semi-annually. To a friend, Jane Herring, she bequeathed her gold watch. The property adjoining the dwelling on the west is to be sold within a year and the mortgage on it paid off. To her adopted daughter, Mrs. Athie l. VanKirk, she left the rest of her property and Mrs. VanKirk was appointed executrix of the will. The will was signed on February 28th, 1894, the witnesses being Thomas Tallman and E. T. Welch.
