New Jersey Obituaries - December 14, 1898 - Henry I. VanSaan

Henry I. VanSaan died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Clayton on Chestnut street, last Thursday. He was 84 years old and had been ailing for the past three years, but was not taken seriously sick until a week before his death. Death was due to general debility and old age. Mr. VanSann was born in Bergen county, near Hackensack and had lived there nearly all his life. About thirty years ago he moved to Lincroft, where he lived only a few months and then returned to Bergen county. Eight years ago he came to Red Bank and since that time he had made his home with his daughter. The funeral was held on Sunday at half-past one o'clock at the house. The service was conducted by Rev. W. G. Matteson and the body was buried at Fair View.
