New Jersey Obituaries - December 14, 1898 - John McCarthy

John McCarthy, son of the late John McCarthy of Morrisville, died last Wednesday of consumption. He was 37 years old and was unmarried. He had worked at the plumbing business in New York for a number of years, but six months ago his health failed and he had to give up business. Three brothers survive him. They are Eugene and Michael McCarthy of Asbury Park and Daniel McCarthy of Seabright. The funeral was held on Saturday at nine o'clock from the house and at ten o'clock from St. Catherine's church at Morrisville. The service was conducted by Rev. William Treacy, pastor of St. Gabriel's church at Bradevelt. The pall bearers were Joseph and Lawrence Carton, Charles and James Kelly, Cornelius Toumey and John Murphy.
