Found Dead In His House

Shafto, an eccentric bachelor of Hamilton who lived alone, was found dead in his house last week by Richard Bartine. Bartine went to Shafto's place for water. He had not seen Shafto for a day or two and he went in the house to learn what was the matter. The doors were fastened but he succeeded in getting in one of the doors which was fastened by putting the back of a chair under the door knob. Shafto had been dead for some time when the body was found.
