New Jersey Obituaries - August 24, 1898 - James Holmes

James Holmes of Beach street, Red Bank, died last Wednesday at the Long Branch hospital, where he had gone for treatment for a fractured leg. His death was caused by blood poisoning. Mr. Holmes was employed by Frank Byram until a month ago. He was carting hay when he fell from the wagon and the wagon passed over his leg, causing the fracture. He was 73 years old. Three sons and a daughter survive him.
