New Jersey Obituaries - August 10, 1898 - James Leggett

James Leggett died of heart disease at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Reid of Long Branch, on Sunday of last week. He was 72 years old. Mr. Leggett was born in Lancashire, England. He was married twice. His first wife was Lydia VanHise, by whom he had three children. Two of them, Mrs. Charles B. Reid and Mrs. I. P. Reid of Long Branch, survive him. His second wife was Rebecca Ross, who died several years ago. Mr. Leggett was a veteran of the war.
