New Jersey Obituaries - September 29, 1897 - William F. LeRoy

William F. LeRoy of Asbury Park died last Thursday night from a disease of the heart, with which he had been sick for several months. Mr. LeRoy was 66 years old. He had been a resident of Monmouth county since 1876. He lived at Keyport five years, during which time he conducted the Keyport WEEKLY. In 1881 he moved to Asbury Park, where he had since lived. For several years he was assistant editor of the Asbury Park JOURNAL, but for the past five years he was employed as assistant postmaster of Asbury Park. He had been secretary of the Asbury Park board of trade since its organization. He leaves a widow and three sons, Marcus D. LeRoy of Matawan and Howard D. LeRoy and Van Vliet LeRoy of Asbury Park.
