A Fatal Accident
William Boyce of Keyport Shoots Himself with a Revolver.
Wilbur Boyce, an eleven-year-old boy of Keyport, accidentally shot himself with a 22 caliber revolver on Tuesday of last week. The boy was going out to shoot birds and he carried a dog under his left arm. He had the revolver in his right hand and attempted to cock the weapon by pressing it against his body. The hammer slipped from his finger and the bullet entered his abdomen. The boy was taken to the Long Branch hospital where an operation was performed, but the bullet was not found. It is not thought that the boy will recover.
