New Jersey Obituaries - October 20, 1897 - John Perrine

John Perrine of Long Branch died of old age on Tuesday of last week. He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Perrine was born at Perrineville on October 15th, 1812 and had he lived three days longer he would have been 85 years old. Mr. Perrine was for many years employed as a builder in New York, where he built the Metropolitan hotel and the A. T. Stewart building on Broadway. He had lived at Long Branch for the past twenty years. A widow and three children survive him. The children are Samuel Perrine and Mrs. W. H. Morris, Jr., of Long Branch, and Mrs. Charles Hudnutt of Belmar.
