New Jersey Obituaries - November 24, 1897 - Martin Rafferty
Martin Rafferty, the proprietor of the Delevan house at Long Branch, died on Sunday night of a complication of diseases. He had been sick two months. He was born in Ireland in 1845 and moved to his country when he was nine years old. For thirty years he had been in the fruit business in New York, Long Branch and Lakewood. He was twice married and leaves two children by his first wife and five by the second.
