New Jersey Obituaries - November 17, 1897 - Alfred H. Brooks

Alfred H. Brooks of Asbury Park died last Wednesday of cancer of the throat at the age of 51 years and three months. He had been sick for a long time. About a years ago an operation was performed for the removal of the cancer and last August Mr. Brooks underwent a second operation. He leaves a widow and four children. He was for 31 years connected with the United States internal revenue service. Mr. Brooks had lived at Asbury Park for the past ten years. The funeral was held at Newark on Saturday.
