New Jersey Obituaries - June 9, 1897 - William Westerkamp

William Westerkamp died of consumption on Sunday afternoon at the home of his brother-in-law, John Kennedy, at Shrewsbury. He had been sick about four months. He was born near Breman (sic), Germany, and was 33 years old. Both of his parents are dead. One sister and two brothers survive him. They are Mrs. George Heydon of New York, Charles Westerkamp of Memphis, Tennessee, and Henry Westerkamp of Europe. A widow also survives him. The funeral was held this afternoon at one o'clock from the house and at half-past one from the Presbyterian church. The services were conducted by Rev. Thaddeus Wilson and Rev. Mr. Baldwin. The burial was in the West Long Branch cemetery.
Per the Death Notice Mr. Westerkamp was aged 33 years, 2 months and 7 days.
