New Jersey Obituaries - December 29, 1897 - William Louis Sneden
|
William Louis Sneden, the eldest son of William S. Sneden of Riverside avenue, died early Christmas morning at the age of 44 years. The greater part of his life was spent in Red Bank, his parents having moved to this town when he was a lad. He received an excellent education and was a civil engineer by profession. For many years he practiced his profession with the late L. D. Bruyn, and more lately with his father, in the extension of the railroad between Keyport and Highland Beach, and in trolley road matters. He was noted for his extreme accuracy in all his work. He was the official surveyor of the town of Red Bank, and some years ago he mapped the town and established the official grade of the streets.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon. The interment was at Fair View cemetery, where the body was laid beside that of his brother Riviere, who died a year and a half ago.
Per the Death Notice Mr. Sneden was aged 43 years, 11 months and 19 days.
