|
Deaths From Diphtheria
The first of the three deaths was that of Daniel Corriam, son of Martin Corriam. He was taken sick early in the week, and grew steadily worse until Thursday, when he died. The funeral was private, and the body was buried the day following the death.
Joseph Price, the four-year-old son of Daniel Price, was the second victim of the disease. He died on Friday after a very short sickness, and the funeral was held on Saturday. The third death was that of Edward Reiter, aged six years, son of T. A. Reiter. He died on Saturday and the funeral was held on Sunday. All the funerals were very private, in accordance with the law governing funerals of those who die of contagious diseases.
