New Jersey Obituaries - December 1, 1897 - Mrs. Maria Morford (Morford) Vanderveer

Mrs. Maria Morford Vanderveer, wife of A. T. Vanderveer of Long Branch, died on Monday of last week, aged 59 years and 11 months. About a year ago Mrs. Vanderveer had a severe attack of pneumonia from which she never fully recovered, and her death was due to his cause. She was born at Long Branch on January 6th, 1838, and was married to Mr. Vanderveer on January 9th, 1856. She was the mother of six children, five of whom are living. Mrs. Vanderveer's mother, Mrs. J. A. Morford, is also living, having celebrated her 83d birthday about a month ago. Her funeral was held on Friday afternoon at her late home. The burial was at West Long Branch.
