On Tuesday of last week Benj. D. Vanderveer, of Atlantic township, died at the age of 74 years. He was a son of David G. Vanderveer, a native of Monmouth county. His mother was Katie DuBois, daughter of the Rev. Benj. DuBois, D. D. Mr. Vanderveer was the third in a family of twelve children. In disposition he was kind and affectionate. He was admired by his neighbors for his manly qualities, and was respected wherever he was known. For many years he was a member of the Reformed church of Colt's Neck. He leaves two children - D. A. Vanderveer, of Scobeyville, and Mrs. John Pittenger, of Manalapan.

Death notice in same issue lists his age as about 76 years.
